The Alpharetta Music Scene: 6 Music Scene Venues You Must Check Out

If you’re venturing North of Atlanta, OTP, then Alpharetta should be on the top of your list. The award-winning dynamic suburb is the perfect family-friendly destination to visit. While the city is known for it’s chef owned restaurants, shopping and beautiful parks, the up and coming Alpharetta music scene is flourishing. A week doesn’t pass without a mainstream musician playing. No matter what genre of music you’re interested in, here are the Alpharetta venues you need to know about.

The Verizon Amphitheatre

The biggest venue in Alpharetta is the Verizon Amphitheatre, with seating for 12,000 guests. There are 7,000 seats under the covered roof and another 5,000 on the Superior Lawn area. Located in a wooded area of North Fulton, first-time guests might be surprised to find the hidden gem. My Husband and I recently enjoyed Thomas Rhett and Old Dominion perform. There’s something for everyone on the Verizon Amphitheatre roster.

Wire & Wood Alpharetta Songwriter Festival

If you love the feel of smaller and more intimate venues, with original works, then the Wire & Wood Alpharetta Songwriter Festival is perfect for you. Nationally recognized vocalists and songwriters gather to offer audiences multiple genres of music – country, blues rock, Americana and bluegrass. The festival takes place each October in downtown Alpharetta.
